Education:
Dr. Anak Shrestha, M.D., M.P.H. first received a Masters in Public Health from the University of Arizona followed by several years of scientific research before entering medical school. He earned his M.D. from George Washington University, School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington, DC. He completed his Ophthalmology specialization back at the University of Arizona, in the Department of Ophthalmology & Vision Sciences. He served as Chief Resident during his last year of training.
Since then, Dr. Shrestha joined Rocky Mountain Eye Center in 2008, where he helps improve visual function and the lives of the people of Southern Colorado by alleviating eye diseases. He particularly enjoys being a part of a team of professionals whose diverse specialties reach so many people across Southern Colorado.
Specialties:
Dr. Shrestha excels in cataract surgery with advanced technology lenses. He provides eyelid surgery, as well as, blepharoplasty and treats various eye diseases with injections and laser treatments.

Lifestyle:
Dr. Shrestha was born along the Himalayas, so living along the Rockies feels very much like home. He and his family enjoy spending time outside and he especially enjoys fly-fishing in the Arkansas River. He is passionate about cooking and appreciates trying new recipes. He is an active supporter of the Cub Scouts.
