D. Mitchel Brown, O.D.

Dr. Mitchel Brown graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2005 with an Associates of Applied Science. He then served a two-year mission for his church in El Salvador where he became fluent in Spanish. Upon returning to the United States, he completed his Bachelors of Science in 2010 at Brigham Young University with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Spanish.
Dr. Brown fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming an eye doctor by graduating from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2014. Dr. Brown completed rotations at the Albuquerque Veterans Administration Hospital and the Santa Fe Indian Health Hospital. In July 2014, Dr. Brown joined Rocky Mountain Eye Center and has enjoyed being part of a multi-disciplinary group practice. Dr. Brown loves being part of a team with a vast array of ocular specialties. He finds joy in fitting specialty contact lenses, including sclerals, hybrids, rigid gas permeables, and custom soft contact lenses.
Dr. Brown is pleased to offer comprehensive eye care in Spanish and English. His services include contact lenses, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and pre/post-operative care. He is a frequent contributor to local health fairs and low vision support groups.

Dr. Brown and his wife love living in Pueblo because of its temperate climate and outdoor recreation. Along with their three children, they enjoy running, mountain biking, traveling, playing sports, camping, hiking, and gardening. In his free time, Dr. Brown coaches youth soccer and basketball.
