Dr. Chariton attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Management and a minor in Business Management. In 2010, Dr. Chariton moved to Pueblo to complete his pre-optometric training at Colorado State University – Pueblo. He then attended Pacific University College of Optometry where he received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2016.
He completed his internships in primary care and surgical co-management at David Grant USAF Medical Center and ocular disease management with the Bend CBOC – VA Portland Health Care System. He also completed internships specializing in pediatrics and vision therapy.
He is a member of Amigos Eye Care, a non-profit organization of students, doctors and community members affiliated with Pacific University dedicated to providing quality vision care at no cost to underserved people throughout the world.
He and his wife, Jessica have four children. As a family, they enjoy boating at the Pueblo reservoir, bike riding, and hiking.
